February 1, 2026, marks 25 years since the founding of the law firm now known as Knox Defense. What began in 2001 as a partnership between Jonathan Cooper and Jeffrey Whitt has grown into one of Tennessee’s most respected criminal defense firms—built on trial-tested advocacy, relentless preparation, and an unshakable commitment to the rights of the accused.
